Join BCCA
The British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA) is a membership association that aims to support and represent medical professionals whose interest is in the practice or research of congenital heart disease in the adult or heart diseases in the fetus or child. We currently have over 300 members* in the UK and Republic of Ireland plus further afield. We are affiliated to the British Cardiovascular Society. Membership categoriesOrdinary Membership - Consultant (annual subscription fee of £50.00) is open to all consultant grade medical practitioners (cardiologists, paediatricians and surgeons), whose interest is in the practice or research of congenital heart disease in the adult or heart diseases in the fetus or child, who are based in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland. Ordinary Membership (annual subscription fee of £35.00) is open to all medical practitioners and others (eg. trainee doctors, nurses, physiologists), whose interest is in the practice or research of congenital heart disease in the adult or heart diseases in the fetus or child, who are based in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.
Corresponding Membership (annual subscription fee of £20.00) is open for recognised physicians, surgeons or others overseas, who have a clear and continuing link with congenital heart disease in the adult or heart diseases in the fetus and child in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland. Such members will be ineligible to vote or hold office. Commercial Membership (annual subscription fee of £35.00) is open to individuals engaged in the the provision of commercial support services for the benefit of the adult with congenital heart disease or the fetus or child with heart diseases. Such members will be ineligible to vote or hold office. Retired Membership (annual subscription fee of £20.00) is open to senior members of the BCCA after retirement from full time employment. Such members will be ineligible to vote or hold office. How to join?Please download and complete the BCCA membership application form. N.B All membership applications received will be submitted to BCCA Council for approval and ratification at one of their four BCCA Council Meetings which take place throughout the year. Once approved/ratified, you will be required to make the necessary payment.
