The role of BCCA
The British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA) is a membership association that aims to support and represent medical professionals whose interest is in the practice or research of congenital heart disease in the adult or heart diseases in the fetus or child. We currently have over 300 members* in the UK and Republic of Ireland plus further afield. We are affiliated to the British Cardiovascular Society. Following extensive discussions at BCCA Council and then ratified by the wider membership at the BCCA Business Meeting in November 2014, BCCA Council submitted an application to the Charity Commission for Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status. The BCCA was approved as a charity in February 2017. Details can be found on the Charity Commission website. View/download Constitution.
