BCS-Heart Research UK Clinical Fellowship Scheme
The British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) and Heart Research UK have collaborated to introduce the BCS-Heart Research UK Clinical Fellowship Scheme, an opportunity for individuals and teams to enhance their clinical skills and experiences within a global centre of excellence. This fellowship scheme is open to a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including trainee and consultant cardiologists, cardiology nurse specialists, cath-lab staff, physiologists, scientists, and other Allied Health Professions (AHP) groups. To be eligible, all applicants must be fully paid-up ordinary members or joint members of the BCS. Here are the key components of the BCS-Heart Research UK Clinical Fellowship Scheme: Individual Clinical Placement: Senior trainee or consultant cardiologists can apply for an individual clinical placement lasting up to 3 months at a global centre of excellence. This opportunity allows you to gain first-hand experience and acquire new clinical skills. Team Placement: A team consisting of up to six members, comprising any NHS employees within the cardiovascular workforce, are encouraged to apply. These teams will have the chance to embark on a one-week placement to observe a specific pathway of care or procedure at the global centre of excellence. The knowledge and expertise gained during this experience can be adopted back at the UK host centre for the benefit of our patients. Can you spread the word about this exciting opportunity among your colleagues and members who may benefit from this fellowship? Members can apply by clicking here. The deadline for applications is 5 November 2023.
